Health issue is always interesting topic to me. Perhaps all of you same as me.^^
I used to spend a lot of money for health products and using
health facilities for making me
good looking and healthy life, but I don’t remember exactly when I lost
interest in my health. Because I have busy
life present, so I have not enough time for spending to looking after my
health.Certainly I know
very well that I should care of my health. This task encourage me considering of
my health and family again.
I researched about
mental health, because we who are immigration to NZ have a lot of stress from settleing
and living in new places. Sometimes the
stress cause physical health problems. I would like to
know how mental problems affect to physical health problems, also how can we avoid
from stress.
First of all I went
to see Estelle who is counselor and mental health advisor, she work at Unitec.
I was really lucky that I could meet her. Actually, I sent a email to unit as below
I used the sentence from unitecescp.blogspot in tap useful phrses it was really
helpful for my email writing.

But no one reply to
me for 2 days. I thought my email may
gone wrong place so I just visited student well-being centre to make an appointment.
When I went there, they said that they just was going to reply me. Fortunately they
gave me an opportunity to interview them at that day, which I didn’t expect although I had to wait for one more hours.

While you are waiting at student well-being centre you can have cup of coffer of tea for free! |
While I was waiting
them I went to Subway at Unitec, because I didn’t want to see Estelle with
stomach rumbling. When a clerk asked me what kind of beard do I like? I didn’t
know what to say I was bit nervous to answer because that was for the first
time I visited Subway not only Unitec one also the others in NZ. Even the
Subway was busy that time some people were waiting behind of me. I was embarrassed. The clerk also asked me what
kind of vegetable do I want to add? In my mind wanted say I want all kind
of ingredients but I only pick three kind of ingredients. ( I found out that I
could tell them I want all kind of ingredients) You know what problem do I have for living in
NZ? As you know that my husband is Kiwi so most of time if I need something I
could order through my husband. This habit
made me like a little child. I told my husband how I felt that time, he explained
me how to order. Even he show me on internet which I learn through this task^^.

Anyway my one was
so delicious. Ha ha ha.. The clerks are kind and restaurant was clean.
Finally, I went to meet
Estelle. She was so kind and willing to help me. While I interview her I had forgotten that I
was doing my task as It was so interesting what she told me about mental
health!
You should listen
our conversation if you wonder.^^
I asked her why mental
problems affect to physical health problems, also how can we avoid from stress.
She answered that If
we have physical health problems for long time it could make us depress, it
same way that if we have mental health problems which affect to physical health
problems as well. This explanation was
pretty clear to me.
How to avoid stress, there is no perfect answer but some way might help us, such as when some your life who is very demanding to me I should be brave to say “no” or I can do it only that much. Also doing some excise regularly, another thing is when you have stress, do deep breathing and say “Serene” which mean peaceful and happy.
Also I had read a magazine which is Mind Body Soul. I got it from school, it was free there were a lot of useful information such as to help achieve more balance on your body and mind in our everyday life.
It introduce you about plates and "ten foods to boost your mood".
If you missed the magazine you can go here => http://studentmediahub.com/?page_id=416

It gave me challenge to do excise again and looking after my health in proper way. If I have this sort of topic I would love to do it again. This task was so useful for our daily life.
Everyone who in my group misunderstood about time management because we thought we could discuss up to 10 minutes at first. At that time we could share our outcome of researching the topic. It was enough time for discussion in 10 minutes, but after we found out we had to finish in 5~6 minutes I didn't think we had enough time to share information for each other members. I spoke as much as the other, and asked some questions, also respond well, I think.^^ The only problem was time management because I just mentioned introducing part, I should mentioned key point of my topic.
